vila sol renaissance golf & spa resort vilamoura

Hi everyone, I am trying to locate hotels that are near the above hotel. Ideally within walking distance not sure if possible but if not hotels that are only a few miles away.

This hotel too expensive for us and we are attending a function there next year.

I stayed in this hotel before. There are no hotels near it, Hotel Spa while excellent was one mile plus, away from hotel. We hired a car and drove into villamoura most evenings for dinner. There was a small bus/van that transported residents into Villamoura, but this wasn't practical if you had kids..usually a queue and a scrum to get on it! Other residents hired taxis in and out of Villamoura. Why not stay in a hotel in Villamoura and get a taxi out to Villa Sol?

Thanks for that - would you have any recommendations for a hotel in Vilamoura.........ideally somewhere nice, 4* standard with pools and usuals etc. Travelling would be 4 adults & 3 kids ranging from 11-14. Haven't been to Vilamoura before.
