VAT Refund

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if someone could help me please?

I have just started working as a self employed person and have VAT registered. I recently bought a laptop for business purposes and not sure how to claim VAT back on the laptop using ros.ie

When I logon to ros.ie, I could not see any straightforward link providing the information or telling me how to claim VAT back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to prepare a vat 3 on ros -imput vat on sales and vat on purchases

Thanks very much for the quick reply. Could you also tell me from where I can download a blank VAT3 form please?

I just downloaded one which says "Sample".

Another question - Do I need to submit the VAT receipt from the purchase as well?

I cannot access Ros here but if you are vat registered you should be able to go into file a return and select vat 3
just populate the numbers and submit
What are your vat periods set at? are you submitting March/April?
no need to send it the receipt - just keep it 7 years
