VAG 1.9 diesel engine variants - any details ?

I mean there seem to be so many

90 HP TDI
100 HP
110 HP
130 HP

etc

and whats the difference between TDI & PD ?

What are the oil change intervals on them & what quality oil does each require ?

Are the units fitted by SEAT and Skoda the same or dumbed down in some way ( e.g. different ECU mapping )

There is a 105 and I think there was a 115 bho as well.

How do you do that? How much extra can you fill?

There is a small button just inside the filler neck thats is pushed by screwing the filler cap back in.

This lets the air out. If you fill then push the wee button you can hear the air release. I reckon an extra 2 or 3 or so liters on mine.

Anything that means longer between fillups is good by me , nothing like the smell of diesel on your hands.
