Got this lamp installed in February - since then numerous faults with transformer, replaced every time. Was running fine for a few months now, but again transformer failed. Again a new transformer, but I am now being sent an invoice. I am not amused.
Just called and was told story that because it is the XXth replacement they have to start charging me.
Obviously I said I don't understand that, now somebody else will call me back and try to explain to me
To be honest , if I am going to have to pay 80 euros everytime those obviouly poor transformers fail, I am better off without the UV lamp in the first place, it was only meant to kill of total coliforms, there is no e-coli or other bugs in the water.
I need to ask the question: Is this normal for the UV lamp transformer to fail so often ?
As the installation is less than a year old, do I have the right to tell the installer that I would like to have my money back as this is obviously a faulty item ?
