No - not all flights pre-clear. As the OP has posted, only some flights do. In reference to the original Q, I think the 4pm advice is old advice - I recently (within the past month) got an email from Aer Lingus seeking to clarify which flights do and don't pre-clear - and it was the flight list and not a time cutoff that was in the email. So if your flight is not listed as clearing then it's very unlikely it does I'm afraid. Is it on the non-clearing list or is it just not listed at all?For direct flights from Ireland you will clear Immigration in Dublin/ Shannon.
I travel often enough to know there is a world of difference between rent a cop security and US immigration officials.Time...........Immigration ....Security...not alot of difference and one would know this if one were a frequent traveller...have spoken to many Irish people who have been processed by US Immigration Officials... they have felt intimidated by the intensity of the procedure.....
