Uploading bills to revenue online

I'm planning to make a tax claim for working from home. To that end I've downloaded all my electricity and broadband bills, which are in PDF format.

On the revenue.ie website I want to upload these, going via
Manage My Record -> Receipts Tracker -> Add a new receipt -> Remote Working -> Heat/Electricity or Broadband

However the site refuses these and says "Please check the file format. Only images are allowed".

I know receipts for purchases would probably normally be images of paper receipts. But for utility bills we're encouraged to go online these days, so we have PDF format.

Are revenue missing a trick here? I emailed them but got no reply. I know I can go and capture images of all the bills, but do I really have to go to all that trouble?

Download the receipt tracker app and it’s easy to take pictures of the receipts and upload them

No need. Presumably they specify what image-format they want and I'm going to assume that JPG/JPEG fits the bill. You can find PDF to JPG converters online; search for "PDF to JPG online converter". You'll get a list of free converters, most of which are free. You feed any one of them a PDF (or many) and get a JPG (or many) back. If you have Adobe Acrobat installed locally, this also does the job without the internet.

Thanks for the replies. I can just do screengrabs too. My question was more of a moan really, that Revenue don't simply accept PDF docs, since that's how most of us are getting our bills these days. It just seems an obvious thing for them to do.
