I have bought a USB Flash drive (1GB).

It only runs on above Win98SE. I have Win 98 on my laptop.

How or where do I go to get the OS upgraded?

How much???

To what???

The majority of USB flash drives will work with Win98 once you install the appropriate driver.

need updated Windows

Well a USB Flash drive I bought from www.usb007.com only works on OS above Win98SE.

I have Win98.

I looked at the Download Drivers part of their website. No sign of it, and anyway, my PC can't deal with .zip files.

So I seem to need a new, updated version of Windows.

.zip is just a file extension. You can't deal with it because you haven't downloaded an appropriate application that can.

Try Winzip. The evaluation version is free.

What's the name of the Flash drive?

USB007 is the manufacturer. Are you sure that you can't get it working on W98? I thought that I've used mine on W98 (pre SE) and definitely on WMe, W2K, WXP...
