I have just learned that if your upc bill is the same as last time they don't send you a bill! They just take the money.Apparently this has been policy "since 1998".Can this be right?
I don't think they have sent out two consecutive bills for the same amount since i signed the dd (usually wrong but too low!) so I guess I'll have to lodge money into my bill paying account early from now on
direct debit went thru last week, hadn't received a bill, checked previous bill and it did state on it that if the bill amount remained unchanged then a bill would not be generated, first time time ever for us not to receive a bill from them!!
Does it really matter, you're paying by direct debit anyway, so you don't control the amount paid, your bank statement will show the total paid and when paid, what more do you need?
Since UPC became involved with NTL, the accounts appears to e in a complete mess. I do not do DD for anybody (due to past problems), and have always send a cheque on time. However the last few months, the cheques have been cashed but the amount remaons outstanding.I have overpaid them now, but when contacting them, it seems I am talking with The Muppet Show. Now I have to pay to have the cheques retrieved from the Bank to prove payment has been made.
