Universal paint,no primer required,anyone know the correct name/

Hi, I saw an ad for a paint,I think it was called "universal Paint",but not too sure.

It said it can be used for almost any purpose and no primer had to be used.

Anyone know the correct name of this paint?

Is it any good?
Is it expensive?

But No, that's not it..I think the paint "itself" was called universal, not the company that sells it.

Hi Thirsty, I dont want to paint anything in particular at the moment.

I know I can get primer etc for particular jobs and stove paint/external/internal paint etc.

But Im interested in this paint as it can be used on lots of surfaces..so just want to find out more about it..I may be tempted to paint some surface or other if its as easy as they claim..thanks

Try B&Q or Woodies. With telly ad being run it may well be on sale in either.

Its going back a bit, but I know of Hammerite, a subsidiary of Imperial Chemicals PLC

Legend had it in biking circles that you could paint it on anything, but then you couldn't paint over it.
