Hi - I have under floor heating in the bathroom.
One of the tiles was cracked, so I took a good one up from an area under the bath that is now covered up with the bath panel anyway.
It was extremely difficult to get the broken tile up, but got it eventually.
In taking up the broken tile, I have exposed some wires - They seem to loop around - I assume that the wires heat up when the heating is on and there is a network of these wires under the tiles.
Under the wire sems a plastic mesh of some sort.
Also, the broken tile seemed to be on a bed of sticky rubbery type material.
I was considering just some cement to put the good tile down, as its hardly worth the cost of a bag of floor laying cement for one tile.
Am concerned about laying wet cement directly on the wires.
Also, the concrete may crack when the floor heats.
Whats the plastic mesh all about?
What do you recommend I use to put the new tile down?
Cheers!
