I have about £60,000 on deposit with a bank in the UK and am getting worried with everything happening at the moment.
Obviously, sterling is now very weak, is it possible to open an account in Ireland in sterling so I can change to euro once it picks up. Is this easy to do?
Re: UK savings - can i open here but keep in sterlin
You should be able to open a GBP£ denominated account here in Ireland. Try Anglo Irish Bank for example. Simply because I have found them easier to deal with on such matters than other banks. I have no vested interest.
