hi,

can any one give me advice, i own three properties, two in ireland and one in the uk, can anyone tell me if i could remortgage or release equity in the uk property to fund a further purchurse in ireland,any uk bank i have asked have been very unclear on the subject

Hi,

I am in a similar situation ie Property in Ireland and UK. I have already been down the road of attempting to release equity from our UK property to invest elsewhere but was unsuccessful. From my experience they will only release funds in sterling not euro so it seems the only way you can release equity on a property in the uk is if you wish to purchase another property in the UK.....
 
What obstacle would there be to you remortgaging your UK property in sterling which you then transfer and convert into euro for investment in your Irish portfolio?

Can anyone tell me the tax implications of owning a property in the UK and using the rent as income? What happens if i want to sell? Thanks
