UK Pension and Irish Pension

My friend received an Irish Pension (Non Contributory) when he reached Pension age. After some time arguing his case, he has now been awarded a Contributory State Pension from the UK, where he worked most of his life. Is he still entitled to the Irish Non Contributory pension or does he lose it?

He will have to be reassessed for the means-tested non-contributory pension, as his UK pension will be assessed as means.
He should contact DSP Sligo and they will advise.
