If someone earns money in the UK in a partnership structure how do they or can they get any tax relief on their pension payments if they are based in Ireland?

If they'e paying taxes on their earnings to Revenue in the normal way, then they're eligible to make pension contributions and claim tax relief against them here in the normal way.

That depends on the nature of the partnership’s earnings I guess.

For example, if it’s just investment income or rental income, no, but if it’s a professional partnership, yes.

Good point. When I read "Working in Ireland", I assumed that this meant that the income was earned. Reading it again, this is not stated.

It would be professional services. I think I need some tax advice. I might receive profit from the UK partnership.
