I recently paid UK National Insurance contribution for a number of years to maximise my UK pension.
Can I claim this against my Irish Income tax?

Hi Rayn, welcome to ask about money. Your question is not very clear, are you retired? You can't really do much with your UK insurance contributions until you are retired then you will be eligible for a small UK pension.

I am retired and getting uk state pension.
I paid extra to get added years and wonder if I can get income tax relief on this sum.

I would be very surprised if you would get tax relief on N.I. contributions paid.
As you cannot get relief on Irish PRSI paid which is the equivalent, it would indeed surprise me if relief was available.

As this is only an opinion I am open to correction
