I understand that certain UK Investment Trusts that are listed companies, are classed as securities for taxation purposes rather than as funds. How can one determine whether a particular Investment Trust is classed as a security or as a fund ?
Advice would be appreciated.

Almost all are, and I’d be shocked if Revenue disputed any of the others.
