N newhome Registered User Messages 26 15 Jan 2007 #1 Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me regarding what type of fire to choose. We have a gas inlet thingy in the fireplace already and were thinking of changing it to an open fire... We bought a 42" plasma and that is now over the fire place. Which type of fire would be better in this situation? Also, which is cheaper? gas, open fire or electric? Thanks for any help!
