I have an older model of a tobishi tv , and we are on the second remote , which is dying out like the first one.
sometime there are certain numbers that won't work.
you have to play around with them , very irritating.
I was wondering if maybe it just needs cleaned , any help for me would be nice , thank you , nana
 
you could try taking it apart and cleaning under the buttons, maybe something has spilled on it, but I'm thinking it's just general wear and tear..
 
Often under the buttons there's a rubber membrane with conductive panels which make contact with the circuit board when the button is pressed. You could try remove the membrane and wash that (only replace when 100% dry), and get a can of PCB cleaner in the likes of maplin to clean the circuit board contacts.

if you go to a service centre/decent shop, they will sell you a remote they program for your TV, a generic remote but all functions for your TV....cost 20-30
