TV Problem

I wonder if anyone could help me or suggest what could be the problem i have with my TV.
when i switch it on for the first time every day it will tune into the station for a minute and then the screen goes blank if i switch off and then switch on again i will not have the problem for the remainder of the night.

Why do you have to tune in to a station every day?

Do you have any devices connect by SCART (e.g. NTL box) which you switch on at the same time? When these power up they automatically switch you over to the AV input, which may be blank at the time.

Thanks yes i have a connection which maybe causing the problem i also have grand children who call and keep pressing buttons on and off.
