trapdoor into attic

just bought new to us house with large extension. looking to get insulation in the attic but discovered that you can't go from attic off original to extension. looking for advice on how best to get a hatch put up there for access and is it a difficult and/or costly job

Its about 8 years since I dealt with them but I too found them very good and was very happy with their work
