Transparency

I have a pension fund with Aviva and my broker tells me that my management fee is 1.5%.

I have asked him how can I verify this. Is there anyway to see the exact charges I am being charged and when and how they are coming out of my fund.
He tells me there is no way to see this.
I am just very sceptical of fees that are not transparent.

As you should be.

You can call Aviva themselves on 01-8987000 with your plan number and they will be able to tell you what you are paying.

It should have been disclosed when you set up the policy.

Do you have the original documentation / policy schedule? There should also be a policy specific Disclosure Quote with that.

Aviva will probably tell you to contact the broker, if you ring them. If you've no luck with Aviva, write and ask for a list of the charges on your plan.
