Transferring USD from Cantor to Degiro

Hi Everybody,

I've opened a Degiro account and I want to transfer USD cash from my Cantor account to it. My Cantor account is connected to an AIB euro account. I'm wondering what is the easiest way to do this. Can I transfer directly to Degiro? Is it worth my while making my AIB account USD enabled? Or just transfer USD to EUR in my AIB and back out to Degiro?

Unfortunately, transfers into Degiro must be in Euro and from your nominated account (usually your main bank account).

So you probably want to find the cheapest way to transfer USD from Cantor to Euro in AIB, and just do a standard non-urgent international Euro transfer from AIB to Degiro.

Unfortunately, that's what I thought.

I transferred some money from Bank of Ireland to Degiro.

I initiated the transfers on the BOI website at 3pm yesterday 20th, and the money appeared in my Degiro account at 8:50 this morning 21st, at no extra cost of course as it is a SEPA transfer
