Transfer of Share Certificates to Joint Ownership

I have share certificates that I would like to put in joint names with my other half. Can I open a joint online account with the likes of Goodbofy or Davy, sent in the certs which are in my name only and then put the ownership in joint names? If not, then what’s the best way to accomplish this.

You complete a 'stock transfer form', get it confirmed exempt from stamp duty, and send to the share registrar.
If you contact the company's share registrar they should be able help you with the process.

Would this also work in reverse? shares held in joint names to be moved to another broker in one name?
