Transfer of land to children and tax implications

Hi,

I am wondering what is the situation with respect to transfer of land from parent to a child. Basically my mother has indicated that I will receive a specified portion of family farm and this is in the will. Personally I would prefere to get this now and she doesnt have a problem with this. Thus wondering what is the situation with respect to tax if she signs it over to me?

Well if you have inherited anything else from your parents you are entitled to receive assets to the value of €332,000 or less without any tax implications. Above €332,000 the tax rate is 25%.
