Toshiba Portege G500 - Advice

I am looking to buy a phone for when out and about. I will be using said phone for checking emails and surfing the internet.

I came across the Toshiba Portege G500, and on the face of it appears to check all the right boxes.

Costing €210, it appears to be an attractive price; [broken link removed]

Does anyone have any experience with said phone?

Also, if I order it from the expansys website (the phone is the UK version), will I be able to slot in my sim card from my current phone into this one and hit the ground running straight away?

It's a great price for what you get. I've bought two phones from Expansys and no problems. They're very professional. It should work with anything other than a '3' SIM.

Toshiba make great kit.

But, it's Windows Mobile 5. It's OK but fiddly & finnicky if you're in a hurry. I would not chose Windows-Mobile for I phone I wanted to use rapidly. As for surfing the net, even assuming you've got a good deal on data, for standard web pages, it's not a very satisfying experience on any WM5 device.

Also, you'd better already have a full copy of Outlook, as I think the version on the CD with Windows Mobile is just a 30-day version.
