Top slice relief

Hi
I am wondering can someone give me some information.

I was made redundant in Sept 2010 and was paye worker up to that point. I was on maternity leave after I was made redundant, so I did not work for the remainder of 2010, as i was receiving maternity benefit. In November 2011 I exercised some options with my previous employer & so was then changed to self assesment (i have paid relevant monies to revenue for this at the time) The Revenue advised me that I need to file a Form 11 for Nov & Dec 2010 as my status changed for this period.
I am ok with this all so far.

However I had intended to claim Top slice relief and thought i had a few years to do this. But I see a part on the form 11 that asks for TSR claimed for 2010.
So my question is, if i file my return will this prohibit me from making a future claim for TSR?

I hope this makes sense, anyway i will of course speak to an accountant on this but just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone could offer any advise.
Thanks

(if my post isnt clear, i do apologise)

I'm afraid the post is a little unclear but I think this may answer it. You can't just file a Form 11 for November and December, the Form 11 will cover all of 2010 including your period as an employee, and you should include the TSR claim in the form.
