A friend of mine and her colleagues work the occasional Saturday from 10-2pm from 10-4pm depending on time of year. Depending on the hours worked she was able to take a half or full day off in lieu. The hours worked on the Saturday are being changed to 11-2pm and she is wondering what hours she is due in lieu.

There is no question of overtime payments, time must be taken instead

She would be grateful for any advice

In my view, 3 hours worked on a Saturday should equal a half day, especially as 6 hrs worked used to get her a full day. Slim

it is my view that toil is given at 1.5hrs per hour, therefore 3 hours is equal to 4.5 hours. it is only on sundays that 3 hours would make 6.

I've never heard of the last arrangement being applied to time in lieu. One for one sound reasonable.

We get 1.5 hrs toil per hour worked on sat up to 2pm after that 2 hrs per hour worked including Sunday. Normal out of office evening work is 1 for 1.
