Time in Lieu question

Hi,

Instead of overtime in my job I am getting time in Lieu.
My question is how many hours do I need to have built up to take 1 day off? My hours are 9am to 17:30 (with 1 hour for lunch at 13:00 to 14:00).
I am guessing its either 8.5 Hrs or 7.5 Hrs.

You work 7.5 hours per day so that's what you need to build up.
If for example you get paid time & a half for overtime then 5 hours O/T = 7.5 hrs normal time.
