Tiling a downstairs bathroom ?

Hi - I want to tile a downstairs bathroom. Currently it has a carpet , paint wall and skirting board.

Ive removed the carpet and I want to remove the skirting as I want the wall tiles to meet the floor tiles.

The question I have is ? Do I start with the floor tiles - and then lay wall tiles on top of these - or do I lay the wall tiles first and then cut the floor tiles to fit in against the bottom of the wall tiles ?

Lay the floor first and leave a 5mm gap to walls.Always preferable to have the grout on the wall rather than corner of floor where dirt gathers... from experience

Just had 3 bathrooms done up and tiled by professional tiler. He did the walls first in all three - apparently to avoid grout falling on floor tiles.

No skirting either btw. Don't think I'd be happy to have floor done first.
