Third level education grants

I'm considering going back to college this year or next to study surveying as a mature student. I have a primary degree already but want to retrain. My primary degree was in the UK for which I got a grant from my Education board in the UK, but I've been working in Ireland for 6 years now and was wondering if I was entitled to any grants from here?
Would I need to study in Ireland or could I study in the UK if I was eligible for financial aid from Ireland?

Grants and funds available for mature students

Are you going back full time or part time? Grants are only available to full time students. You get tax relief on fees if not getting a grant or your paying for night courses.
It is your local area county council that provide the grants. You would have to be attending college in Oreland to get it. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the help. I would be returning to full time study, rather than part-time, and I would be giving up my job to do so. The plan was to do another undergraduate course as my first degree was in another subject other than surveying, and I was planning on studying in the Uk, but now I'm not sure this is a viable option without a grant.
