Thinking of applying to do HDip in Education

I have a primary degree in Business from 1981 and I am thinking of applying to do the HDip in Ed in 2008/09. I have just received the application package and the whole application process looks daunting not to speak of the course itself. Has anyone gone through this application process recently and, if so, have they any advice to offer..............
 
have you tried doing a bit of sub teaching or similiar experience to see how you like it?
 
Hi Olivia, I applied last year but did not have enough points for the NUI Maynooth. I have a business degree also. They seem to apply higher points in this case as there are so many applicants with business backgrounds. It is to even out the numbers so to speak.
Make sure to include all other courses that you have completed whether you think they are relevant or not - they will decide. Try and get some teaching hours in before sending in the application - you'll get points for this.
