Thermostat for Boiler Query

Hi,
I have been advised that I should fit a thermostat to my wood pellet boiler. It would work by only activating the pump when the water in the boiler reaches a certain temperature so the pump would not run all the time.
I was wondering can anyone recommend a thermostat for this purpose. I got one but it appears to work in the opposite way i.e. it turns the pump off when it gets to a certain temperature.
Any suggestions appreciated?

Not too familar with wood pellet boilers, but by the sounds of it it isn't wired right. You want your pump to run as long as the boiler is on, to distribute heat from boiler. Once stat on boiler is satisfied it turns off boiler but pump continues to run until temp drops and boiler restarts.

You could get a pipe stat. If your stat is directly controlling pump but stopping when temp is reached it could be wired in reverse order.

Thanks for the feedback DavyJones. The boiler has a seperate stat so it turns off when it gets to a certain temp and modulates up and down when operating as required.

This new stat would be seperate and only for the boiler pump. I was told it would make it more efficient as it would only circulate the water when it reaches a certain temperature in the boiler rather than circulating all the time.
