Hi,
I am looking for some help from anyone who is familiar with The Mortgage Allowance Scheme. Myself and my daughter are currently renting a house from the county council, however we have recently been granted planning to build our own house with my boyfriend on his land. We are currently at the "Applying for Mortgage Stage" - which we aren't getting very far with in the current climate.
Firstly I want to know are we intitled to the Mortgage Allowancw Scheme (which contributes €11,400 to our motgage over 5 years, as I will be returing my council house to the council) when we am applying for a joint mortgage. And secondly if we are intitled to this, will this contribution help us when we are applying to the banks for our mortgage.
I would be very grateful for any advice.
