Did you actually read the brochure/prospectus? Page 6 and 15 explain where this figure comes from. Basically it's a projection based on a set of assumptions. In short it is an educated guess and may bear no resemblance to the actual returns generated.

There are a number of previuos threads on this. Here's one from 2003 which I think gives some very common sense opinions on this.

Unless things have changed dramatically, I certainly won't be investing!
