We are thinking about a short holiday to Lanzarote and are somewhat confused as regards test requirements on departure and return to Dublin.
We are both fully vaccinated with boosters and have the EU DCC. Can anyone tell me if we require PCR or Antigen tests in order to board a Ryanair flight to Lanzarote and what is the situation when were are returning to Dublin? I would appreciate advice from anyone who has recently travelled as to be honest I'm not sure if the hassle of testing would be worth it. Many thanks.
Must have test before return home.Must have test on return, antigen within 48 hours of arrival home, PCR within 72 hours.
Most people are getting it done in resort. All the private clinics are offering PCR and antigen tests. If you're staying in Puerto del Carmen, the British clinic opposite Vik San Antonio is reputed to be efficient. Thanks guys for your replies.
Eithneangela, can you please tell me if you have to get the PCR/Antigen test carried out at Lanzarote airport or from a reputable provider in your resort? If it must be carried out at the airport it means a journey there a couple of days before returning to Ireland. Apologies for my ignorance but I have not flown anywhere since Covid began and although I have searched online some of the information is confusing and can change at short notice!
Any idea what they might be charging for the testing that's required? Most people are getting it done in resort. All the private clinics are offering PCR and antigen tests. If you're staying in Puerto del Carmen, the British clinic opposite Vik San Antonio is reputed to be efficient.
You will have to self isolate , That is why we did not go away for our usual Christmas break , With one in every two people showing positive here it will probably be the same in Spain , My worry was that if we felt fine with the Omnicron and tested positive where would we stay , Not worth the hassle at the moment , I hope you make the right call for you .What happens if your antigen test is positive? When returning from Lanzarote
International clinic charging €20. That's near Fariones. Biosfera has a clinic, €35. All Lateral Flow, of course. British surgery near Vik San Antonio charging €135 for PCR.Any idea what they might be charging for the testing that's required?

I though I was being fleeced by paying €70 each recently
It's just been announced that we won't now need PCR tests to re-enter Ireland if fully vaccinated.

If the airline insists you will.
Etihad airways insist all passengers need a negative PCR test, otherwise you cannot board your flight too Dublin or depart from Dublin regardless of vaccination status
