Test for AAM - as requested - changing title in threads

You asked me to put up a thread to see if I can change the title which this is.

I now go into new posts, select my thread and hit edit and I'm able to change the post and also the title.

There is no other button here (the advanced button of last week) and it's really easy to change the title now. I'll try again tomorrow to see if it only lasts 24 hours

You should also be able to just double click just beside the title of your post when you are in the new posts list and it should allow you to edit the title quickly rather than having to open the thread.
Update: Actually maybe only mods can do that.

Elcato I cannot double click the title. But it's fine now that I can modify it in the post itself, much more logical than before. Hopefully it means less work for you guys.

Rather than wait 24 hours...

Try changing the title of an older post.

The edit button should be gone.

Try the following

Click on your name on the top right hand side under ""Welcom, Bronte"
Statistics
Find all threads started by Bronte
In the box containing the title of the thread you wish to edit, double click in the blank space around the thread title.
(If you click on the title instead of the blank space, you will be brought to the thread)
The thread title will appear in a highlighted box that you can overwrite. Edit the title, and press enter.

Can't see the white space, I've double clicked everywhere and it doesn't work. I tried the Revenue mitigation of interest thread started last week by me.

Don’t mean to butt in here, but yes that seems to work.

Maybe if you say to double click in the white backround surrounding the thread title in the ‘’Thread/Thread Starter area’’ , the thread title will appear in a highlighted box that you can overwrite. Then enter the new title & click the white backround once to save the new title.

There is no white area, it looks like light blue to me. I went to bronte, statistics, threads, outside the area of the box of the thread area it's a light blue colour with no writing, I double clicked this and the thread title box change to white and then I could modify that.

Way too complicated.

You have some setting which is showing the white space as blue. I will amend the instructions accordingly.

I agree it's too complicated and I have suggested that an edit thread title button be implemented.
