Tesco electrical items - personal dvd

Does anyone have experience of the "own brand" Tesco electrical stuff?

I heard an ad on the radio this morning for one of their 7" personal dvd players (I think it might be Tevion brand - I can't remember for sure). It's down to 49.99 now and I'm tempted to buy it for my father who is in a home.

Good deal or should I spend a bit extra on a better brand?

thats a really good price and whatever the brand is Tesco will have to stand over it so if I was in the market for one I would buy now
