Disaster... I still have the credit card size original clubcard I got. I scanned that, I would also have been able to pop it into the card slot.Cashel today 133.9 for diesel, without the 0.10/litr extra off.
Between myself and 4 other shoppers in Cashel today we failed to find a single pump from the eight on the forecourt that would read our Clubcards, either from the fob on our keyrings, the Stocard app or by phoning home from the intercom at the pumps. A woman sounding like a self-satisfied Snarleen MacFester answered asking how she could help me. I asked her to get the Clubcard reader at Cashel working but she said she was unable to do that but would pass my message on. I told her not to bother but to let me talk to who ever she was passing the message to, suggesting to her that she wasn't the least bit helpful. Lead balloon job.
They were 1-2c cheaper that the Applegreens and Circle K I passed on the way to Clare Hall.It sounds like a good deal, but I don't like their self service set up.
I also didn't find their prices any cheaper, at a couple of Dublin locations.
No doubt Tesco will blame them and they'll blame Tesco for the failure of the machines - but give them both hell!!!
