Tenants out, owner moving back in. Cancel with PRTB?

Folks,
Had an apartment (only property in my name) rented out, lease expired on 12/03/2012 and I moved in, therefore it's my PPR - no worries there (bills back in my name before the 31/03 liability date)

Obviously I had this tenancy registered with the PRTB. However, now that i'm back in the place and I have no tenants, do I need to cancel any tenancy registration with the PRTB? Reason for asking and not just logging in is that I can't frickin log-in to the PRTB website at the minute, when I try to log-in I get a 404.

My main cause of concern is that my local authority, at some stage, may search the PRTB database and assume that I have tenants in there when I don't... I'm afraid that they may come after me for 2012, claiming that I had tenants in on the liability date of 31/03/2012, when infact I didn't (Again, remembering that I have bills to prove I was living here on this date)

Cheers folks

If the tenancy agreement came to an end on 12/03/2012 and was not renewed, no tenancy exists, full stop.

The PRTB will have a note of the length of the agreement and its expiry date from the registration form. As there is no agreement in existence, if is impossible to cancel one.

Thanks - I just fear that the council may come after me in the future claiming that this wasn't my PPR, when infact it is (because I did have tenants in the past)

However I assume I have myself covered:
1) Lease expired 12/03/2012
2) Bills are in my name on the date of liability (31/03/2012)

I have cancelled an existing tenancy on the website where the 4 years were not up. It was tricky. If I remember correctly I had to put the cursor on that registration and it turned blue and then I had the option. In your case the 4 years are up and you did not renew it so maybe that's why you were unable to do so. Maybe an email to the PRTB about his might clarify matters but you sound well covered but nothing worse than in a couple of years this causing you a problem becase it was not ended in the 'system'.

Send them an email. It took a week or so but they acknowledged my request and removed it from the record.
