I got a telescope as a present recently.
All images are upsaide down when I look through the lens - is there any way of fixing this other than standing on my head?

Astronomical telescopes do this - there is no 'upside down' in space viewing
You will also find that the image is reversed left to right.

However if you want to use it for terrestial viewing you will need an image erector lens - which you may or may not be able to pick up as an accessory for your telescope (depends on the brand/type whether or not you will find a suitable one)

For astronomy it doesn't matter if the image is upside down.

You can get an image erector from a telescope accessory store to add to your eyepiece if you want an image to appear the way it would in a pair of binoculars,

You are probably only noticing this using the telescope to look at daylight earth items. Just spin the telescope right around on the mount. You may have to adjust the tube holder to get the eye piece to turn the correct way up.

yea I`m using it to look at earth items - is there any online store I could get this accessory & are they expensive?

Like I said in my earlier post - itll depend on the type and brand of your telescope.

Why dont you google the make and model and that will throw you up any links that sell accessories for that particular one?
 
Most of the camera shops in town sell telescope gear, but that's only for the smaller models. For serious astronomy stuff check out [broken link removed] although they are not the cheapest.
