Hi all,
Re-painting a teak front door which has been scratched and has marked badly.Have sanded and used fine steel wool to get an even finish, and tried to build up a final coat, however you can still see the differnce in shades of finish.Using Ronseal teak exterior satin wood stain. When I try to build up a finish I just end up getting runs of stain which look worse!Have tried and tried to get the marks out but nothing seems to work, stains are still visible and difference in finish is noticeable, even after two coats.Do I have to sand down the door completely to the bare wood or do I just keep applying more and more coats of stain until the marks are not visible?
