I'm thinking of heading to Korea in a few months to teach englsih for a year. So far I have heard nothing but positives about the whole experience, in terms of quality of life, standard of living and possibility to save money there. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience, directly or indirectly, of doing it and whether there are negativr aspects that I am not aware of?

A few friends of mine were there around two years ago and had a fantastic time. Quality of life was excellent and locals really friendly. One of them had a bad experience with what seemed to be an unscrupulous employer (lack of pay etc.), but otherwise nothing but good things to say about the place. Only problem is that it's already tomorrow over there!

Not easy to get veggie food and hours can be quite long ,Kids are very coached and motivated
