Can anybody advise me as to where i can do an evenin or morning course in order to qualify as a TELF teacher and how long the course would be expected to last? Also, what are the exact qualifications needed to teach this?

But remembering from friends doing it, it could be done on a weekend basis. This website seems to confirm that

Thanks So Much For All The Feedback. If I Decide To Teach, say In A Language College Or Anywhere Where I Can Teach This In Ireland, what Qualifications Precisely Do I Need, Starting From My Leaving Cert.
I did a course about 10 years ago in Dublin (Merrion Sq?)- quite intensive and very good IMO. 2 evenings per week at 2 hours each over 8 weeks as far as I remember. Apparently the qualification is recognised all over.
also does anyone know of any good cities where its easy to pickup freelance students, for 1-to-1 classes, and make reasonable cash. has anyone tried this in the south of france - cote d'azur area - wouldnt mind floating around down there for the summer season.
A friend of mine did a very short two-a-penny TEFL course, then bought a Degree on the Web. He ended up teaching English in a university in the Far East. He's since come back to Ireland and completed a http://www.english-international.com/CELTA.html (CELTA) course which is, apparently, the mother of all TEFL courses, so perspective employers have no interest in his 'online/distance learning Degree ' now.
