I am the main income earner in the house and me and my spouse are jointly assessed. Both of us are employed. I have all her tax credits that can be transferred.

she earns €350pw

am I right in saying that she will pay 20% ie. €70pw
less paye credits which i believe are non transferable (1650) 31.73pw

+ USC of 2% on first 193 and 4 % on balance

Total USC 3.86 + 6.28

total tax of 48.14

or am i missing something

her employer thinks there is something wrong with her credits and want her to get it sorted. But I think this is right

Im on circa 33k in the PS but after the deductions I get around 25k in the hand

Your PAYE calculation is correct

Your USC is wrong (I think)

2% on first €193 = €3.86
4% on next €115 = €4.60
6% on Balance (of €42) = €2.52

Therefore total USC = €10.98

Total Net Pay = €300.75 (€350 - €38.27 - €10.98)
