I am seeking advice on holiday pay taxation. I would really appreciate some advice.
I received 2,500 salary in january plus 1000 holiday pay. I received both the salary and holiday pay together in January 2011. I was taxed E900. So essentially, I lost my holiday pay. I work part time. I have no contract with work. I'm a PAYE worker. I'm unmarried. I earned 17,400 last year 2010.
Should I have requested the holiday pay from my employer in December? Can I claim any of it back. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you
