Tax return

I have a rental property which I started renting during feb this year and my wife started working (self employed) from home at the same time (part time). When is our tax return due? Is it october this year or october next year? This will be our first tax return as being landlords and my wife being self employed.

In fact due to commencement rules it Is Oct 2009. at that stage u will need to send in& pay 2006 return, likewise pay and return 2007 also you will need to pay preliminary tax for 2009 at the same time.

Rental income for 2007 will have to be paid & included on return by Oct 2008
