I earned €8000 rental income during 2009 on investment property.Interest on re mortgage of main property came to approx.€3000.I did major refurbishment on property over last 2 years. I was hoping to claim relief under the Countrywide refurbisment scheme which ceased end of July 2008. My expenditure was incurred prior to end of qualifying period.
My question is what are items one can claim tax relief against rental income? 1 mortgage protection insurance, 2 PTRB fee ? ,3 €200 tax paid for 2 nd. property. What other items can one claim for? Any help appreciated.

Haille you should really look at this thread before you start asking very general questions.

1. Mortgage protection Insurance? Insurance yes, mortgage protection possibly yes
2. PTRB fee? yes
3. €200 2nd property tax? Absolutely No!
