Tax Relief on Dentures

Hi,

Can anyone advise whether new dentures (never had them before) are tax deductible for a PAYE worker?
I note there is a 20% relief on 'non-routine' treatments but unsure whether the above is covered. Unfortunately my dental cover doesn't cover this..

Disgracefully and counterintuitively, 20% relief is not available.

This is one of those classical double whammies :mad: grrrrr

Dentures are not allowable as dental expenses [med 2] because they do not fall inside the list of what is specified.
Dentures are not otherwise allowable as they are specifically excluded under routine dental expenses.
Lose, lose methinks.
