Is it now a legal requirement under the 2006 Finance Act to register with the Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB) in order to offset the interest agianst the rental income from a residential investment property?

I know that you should register with the PRTB?

But is it now law in order to offset?

I believe that this requirement is coming in with the new Finance Bill. See here.
