Tax Refund

I'm resident in Ireland but plan to work abroad with my company for a few months (still being paid by Ireland).
As I will be outside of Ireland for that period but still paying Irish income tax will I be entitled to any tax refunds. I had a look on the Revenue site but nothing really answers my questions. Thanks

I assume you are a company director. You need to get specific advice as the company could be taxable in that other country.

You will be resident in Ireland and will not lose your Irish residence by leaving for a few months. There is a foreign earnings deduction for time spent out of the country in certain countries. [broken link removed]

I would have thought that it would not be open to proprietary directors but I don't see any restriction some one else may know more.

Again assuming you're a director - Income paid to you as a director of an Irish company will be subject to PAYE here. Assuming your tax residence status isn't going to change, there's no difference between being here or overseas as a director for the purposes of what you're talking about.
